On the afternoon of May 13th, the delegation of Hamar Imre, Vice President of Eotvos Lorand University in Hungary, Bartus David, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and Ye Qiuyue, Deputy Director of the Belt and Road Research Center visited Ningbo University, and was received by Vice President Dai Shixun.
Vice President Dai extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and sincerely congratulated President Hamar Imre on being honored as the academician of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He said that Ningbo University has all along attached great importance to international development since its very beginning; in recent years, we particularly underline cooperation with universities and colleges in Central and Eastern Europe, especially those in Hungary. We have constantly boosted mutual visits between Ningbo University and CEE universities and colleges, innovated the joint training model and advanced joint scientific research, achieving bountiful fruits in talent cultivation. Thanks to the signing of school-level cooperation between Ningbo University and Eotvos Lorand University in 2024, our cooperation in areas such as student exchange and faculty visits has further developed. Vice President Dai also expressed his hope to further expand the scope of cooperation, deepen the forms of cooperation, and conduct exchange and cooperate in even more disciplines.
Vice President Hamar Imre expressed his joy at revisiting Ningbo University in fluent Chinese. He solemnly promised that he would spare no effort to support the exchange and cooperation between the two universities, and looked forward to exploring new cooperation models in a wider range of fields, continuously stepping up our cooperation to a deeper level, and creating mutually beneficial and win-win situations.
Person in charge of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science gave a detailed introduction to the progress of the cooperation projects with Eotvos Lorand University; person in charge of the School of Humanities and Commutation introduced the basic situation of the School and expressed the expectation for expanding our cooperation projects.
After the meeting, Vice President Hamar Imre and his delegation also visited the Ningbo University History Museum, the Pan Tianshou College of Architecture, Art and Design, and the College of Music.
Attending the reception were the main responsible persons of the International Office, the School of Humanities and Communication, and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
