Meishan Campus of Ningbo University located in Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Zone was co-established by Ningbo University and Beilun District Government (Meishan Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee).

The Meishan Campus of Ningbo University was completed and put into operation in July, 2018. It takes up 35.2 hectares with a floor area of 221,000 square meters.

The overall design follows the style of the main campus of Ningbo University while highlighting marine culture.

There are three teaching and research colleges, including the Maritime College, Ocean College, Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Science, as well as some scientific research platforms of the New Drug Research Institute.

There are 3 major categories of degrees available for students to pursue: bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. There are currently 2,800 students (including international students) on campus.

Ningbo Supply Chain Innovation China, a collaboration with MIT, is located at the Meishan Campus, next to the Ningbo Institute of Oceanography and Beihang University Ningbo Innovation Research Institute.

Guided by “Double First-Class” University Plan, the Meishan Campus is making efforts to become a high-tech marine R&D platform, a place gathering high-level talents, incubation center of innovative talents, and window for international educational and technological cooperation.
