To meet the demands for regional economic and social development, NBU focuses on providing service and, with the aid of its academic arms, has built a host of vocational and technical training and test-taking centers certified by the government, industrial and professional institutes at home and abroad. The enduring endeavor has seen the progress made in “Highly-Skilled, Innovative, and Enterprising Talents Training” Program, “Primary and Secondary School Teachers Professional Training in Zhejiang Province” Program, “High-caliber Personnel in Port and Channel Engineering” Project, “Outstanding Farmers Study in University “Project, “International Cooperation Education Training” Project and other competitive continuing education programs with local features.

At present, a government-funded talent training and a certified training system for professional qualification and skills accreditation have been formulated. NBU also provides “order-based” special training programs for enterprises and institutions, and non-degree continuing education comprising of international cooperation which focuses on overseas study service and qualification certification, and other three categories.
