In the afternoon on October 10, “China-UKJoint Laboratory Aquaculture Research Unveiling” established by School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University - the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling as well as Appointment Ceremony was successfully held in School of Marine Sciences Research Center, Ningbo University(Meishan Campus). This ceremony was witnessed by following attendees: Chen Jianping, academician of CAE (the Chinese Academy of Engineering) and the director of Plant Virology Institute of Ningbo University; Wang Chunlin, the Head of School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University; Herve Migaud, the Head of Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling; Yu Yichun, deputy director of the human resources office of Ningbo University; Weng Huaxing, deputy director of the international cooperation office of Ningbo University; Qiu Limin, deputy director of Department of Science and Technology of Ningbo University, as well as some teachers and students from the School of Marine Sciences. The ceremony was hosted by Chen Jiong, deputy dean of School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University.
At the ceremony, Wang Chunlin gave a speech on behalf of School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University, and made a brief introduction about “China-UK Joint Laboratory Aquaculture Research Unveiling” established by School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University - the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling.Herve Migaud, the Head of Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling, also delivered address on behalf of University in UK. Subsequently, academician Chen Jianping and Herve Migaud unveiled the “China-UK Joint Laboratory Aquaculture Research” together. Deputy Director of the human resources office of Ningbo University read out the letters of appointment of laboratory chief and deputy director, which are the agreements of employment to Mu Changkao, the professor of School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University, who was appointed as the laboratory chief, as well as to Herve Migaud, the Head of Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling, who was appointed as the deputy director of laboratory. “China-UK Joint Laboratory Aquaculture Research” is a platform taking the road of brand internationalization and it certainly will made positive contribution to the academic exchange and the personnel joint training between these two universities with the caring support of academician Chen Jianping and all the other leaders, as professor Mu Changkao, chief of “China-UK Joint Laboratory Aquaculture Research” said.
