From July 23 to 30, Yu Jiansen, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, was invited to attend the Confucius Institute Conference in Africa, as well as to visit the Confucius Institute of the University of Mauritius and the Confucius Institute of The University of Tamatav.

The Joint Conference of Confucius Institutes in Africa in 2019 was held in Antananarivo, capital of Madagascar. The themes of the conference were "Collaborative Development of Confucius Institutes", "Characteristics Development of Confucius Institutes" and "Sustainable Development of Confucius Institutes". During the meeting, Ms. Yang Xiaoyi, Chinese Ambassador in Madagascar and Yu Yunfeng, Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute Headquarters, met with Secretary Yu Jiansen and his delegation. Zafitoti Kangshyang, the president of Tamatav University, David, the Foreign Director of the Confucius Institute at Tamatav University, and Pan Feng, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, attended the meeting.

During his visit to the Confucius Institute at Tamatav University, Yu and his delegation received a warm welcome from Zafitoti Kangshyang, the President of Tamatav University. The two sides witnessed the signing of the cooperation agreement between the School of Humanities in Ningbo University and the Confucius Institute of Tamatav University on the overseas internship base of Chinese International Education, and the unveiling ceremony of the internship base. During the visit, Secretary Yu Jiansen and his delegation, accompanied by President Zafitoti Kangshyang, visited the conditions for the Confucius Institute at Tamatav University and the construction of new teaching buildings. At the same time, Secretary Yu Jiansen listened to the work report of Chinese Director Pan Feng and reviewed the use of the financial funds of Confucius Institutes over the past four years. Finally, Secretary Yu and his delegation visited Chinese teachers and volunteers from Ningbo University working at the Confucius Institute in Tamatav.

During his visit to the Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius, the Chinese Director Tan Xudong, introduced the history and experiences of the establishment of Confucius Institutes by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and the University of Mauritius. And he shared the experiences on the funds management of Confucius Institutes and the development of Confucius Institutes.
